WHEN SCHOOL’S OUT, HUNGER’S NOT.
During The School Year, 1 In 4 Children Faces Hunger In Manatee County.
For the low-income children in Manatee County like Elle, eating breakfast and lunch at school keeps them on the right side of this disheartening statistic. That food fuels their brains and supports their growth while learning. Unfortunately, those meals might be the only ones they eat over the course of the day. Will you help us Sack Summer Hunger to keep kids mentally and physically ready to begin school again in August?Manatee families, you can pick up a free weekend summer food sack for your kids at any of the Manatee County Public Libraries each Friday, starting June 8th to July 28th.
